Australian Maths Challenge

Each year, selected students from Years 3 to 6 take part in the Australian Maths Challenge, an enrichment program run by the Australian Maths Trust (AMT). Designed for students with a strong interest in mathematics, the Challenge offers the opportunity to explore complex problems that go beyond the standard curriculum.

The program is delivered at school over four weeks, with students tackling a series of challenging problems designed to promote deep thinking, creativity, and perseverance. While students can collaborate and discuss ideas during weekly sessions, each one must submit their own written solutions for assessment by the AMT. Certificates are awarded based on individual performance.

Supported by our Maths Learning Specialist, the Challenge is a rewarding experience that helps extend high-achieving students and build confident, capable problem-solvers.
